## Synopsis

Grid (2022) is a South Korean science fiction mystery thriller series created by Lee Su-yeon for Disney+. The story begins in 1997, when a mysterious ghost saves humankind and then vanishes, only to reappear twenty-four years later and help a serial killer escape. Three investigators, detective Kim Sae-ha (Seo Kang-joon), Jung Sae-byeok (Kim A-joong) and Song Eo-jin (Kim Moo-yul), each pursue the ghost for their own reasons, and the chase pulls them through clues scattered across two decades. Lee Si-young plays the enigmatic ghost at the center of the mystery. The series runs ten episodes of roughly forty-eight minutes each and forms a single self-contained limited series rather than a continuing saga. Its tone is suspenseful and brooding, with paranoid investigation scenes and a steady sense of dread about what the ghost wants. Its time-travel mechanics and fractured timeline reward close attention. Fans of Signal, Dark and Mindhunter will find resonance in its blend of crime procedure and temporal puzzle. Set in modern Seoul and the late 1990s, it plays out in an urban Korean setting of police work and surveillance.
