## Synopsis

Our Beloved Summer (2021-2022) is a South Korean romance drama series created by Lee Na-eun for SBS, a single-season run of sixteen hour-long episodes. Choi Woo-shik plays Choi Woong and Kim Da-mi plays Kook Yeon-su, two bickering former lovers whose high school romance was captured by a viral documentary. Years later, a crew pulls them back in front of the camera, and the old footage keeps colliding with the adults they have become. Kim Sung-cheol, Ahn Dong-gu and Jeon Hye-won fill out a circle of classmates whose memories of that summer differ from theirs. The engine is simple: every interview forces the pair to confront what ended between them and whether it can be revisited. Each episode braids present-day confessionals with flashback footage of teenage affection, so the nostalgia and the awkwardness arrive together. Set in contemporary South Korea with recollections rooted in high school life, the series keeps a light, warm, wistful register, with comedy undercutting the ache. Fans of Reply 1988, Itaewon Class and Crash Landing on You will find the same mix of bittersweet memory and romantic longing, delivered as a brisk, self-contained romance rather than a sprawling epic.
