## Synopsis

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts (2021-2022) is an Italian romantic comedy series created by Bindu De Stoppani, Silvia Zucca, Michela Andreozzi and Fabrizio Cestaro for Netflix. Claudia Gusmano plays Alice Bassi, a heartbroken and hopelessly single woman who, after befriending a charismatic astrology guru, looks to the stars to find her perfect match. Lorenzo Adorni appears as Tio Falcetti, and Michele Rosiello as Davide Sardi, among the principal cast around her. The engine of the show is Alice's romantic misadventures, as each episode follows her dating mishaps and the guidance of the self-styled guru whose charm is as questionable as his horoscopes. The series runs for two seasons of six episodes each, with brisk episodes of about thirty-five minutes. Its tone is witty and breezy, with a warm undercurrent of wistfulness about heartbreak and self-discovery. Set in contemporary Italy, it balances the glamour of modern urban life with the sincere awkwardness of trying to love again. Fans of Emily in Paris, Sex Education and Dead to Me will find resonance in its blend of romance, satire and a single woman's search for connection.
