## Synopsis

My Love Mix-Up! (2021) is a Japanese television romantic comedy series created by Wataru Hinekure for TV Asahi, adapted from a manga. Shunsuke Michieda plays Sota Aoki, a flustered high school student whose world tilts when his longtime crush's eraser turns up with another boy's name on it. Ren Meguro plays Kousuke Ida, Riko Fukumoto plays Mio Hashimoto, and Jin Suzuki plays Hayato Aida, whose nickname Akkun ties the group together. The engine of the show is simple and relentless: each episode spins a new knot of jealousy, half-heard conversations, and secret feelings that keep friends and crushes tangled. The series runs for a single season of ten episodes, a compact, self-contained romance rather than a sprawling saga. Its register is breezy and comforting, with awkward slapstick and sincere ache pulling in equal measure, the way teen first love feels when every glance is misread. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, it has the bright, sweet texture of a shojo romance, and fans of Kimi ni Todoke and Ao Haru Ride will find the same tender awkwardness here, with a gentler comic edge than Kaguya-sama.
