## Synopsis

Single Dad (Papá Soltero) is a Mexican family comedy-drama that aired on Las Estrellas from 1987 to 1988, produced by Luis de Llano Macedo for Televisa. César Costa plays a single father who is raising his children in Mexico City, with Gerardo Quiroz as Miguel Costa and Edith Márquez as Alejandra Costa, while Luis Mario Quiroz plays the younger son Cesarín. The engine of the show is ordinary household life: a father trying to keep his children happy and his home steady while juggling work, school, and the demands of extended family. Episodes are gentle, self-contained domestic stories built around everyday misunderstandings, small crises, and affectionate moments between parents and children. Supporting performances from José Luis Cordero, Aurora Alonso, and Octavio Galindo add warmth and comic texture. The series spans three seasons over thirty-one half-hour episodes, shaped as a light family sitcom with melodramatic touches typical of Latin American television. Its tone is warm, sentimental, and comforting, rooted in the rhythms of a late 1980s Mexican household. Fans of Full House, Mi Familia, and Cuando Seas Mía will find similar family warmth and single parent charm.
