## Synopsis

The Glory (2022-2023) is a South Korean prestige drama series created by Kim Eun-sook and An Gil-ho for Netflix. Song Hye-kyo stars as Moon Dong-eun, a woman who survived horrific abuse at the hands of classmates during her high school years, and Lee Do-hyun plays Joo Yeo-jeong, a figure from her past whose path becomes entangled with hers. Park Sung-hoon and Im Ji-yeon round out the principal cast as adults whose lives are built on the cruelty of their youth. The engine of the story is a patient, meticulously plotted revenge scheme: Dong-eun must gather allies, manipulate old enemies, and wait out the years needed to make her tormentors pay. Each episode builds the trap a little tighter, moving between the bullied past and the carefully arranged present. Told as a single limited run of sixteen episodes, the series is a tightly constructed serialized drama. Its tone is cold, tense and relentlessly deliberate, with a bleak undercurrent of trauma and a cathartic payoff. Fans of Big Little Lies, Monte Cristo and Kill Me Heal Me will find resonance in its wounded protagonist, its social cruelty and its methodical vengeance.
