## Synopsis

The Bear (2022-2026) is a United States Hulu prestige comedy-drama created by Christopher Storer. Fine-dining chef Carmen Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) leaves high-end cooking to run his late brother's Chicago sandwich shop, a cramped, debt-laden place he is determined to transform. His engine is the grind of rebuilding a kitchen with a volatile crew: Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Marcus (Lionel Boyce) and Tina (Liza Colón-Zayas). Each episode is a tight, frantic service or a rush of prep, with arguments flaring under time pressure and quieter moments of grief surfacing in flashback. The story runs as one continuing arc across five seasons and 46 episodes, with the shop's financial and personal stakes building steadily. Shot in a restless handheld style with a propulsive, anxious score, the series mixes dark humor with raw emotion about family, loss and the costs of perfectionism. Fans of Succession, The Wire and Shameless will find resonance in its blend of intensity, sharp dialogue and messy loyalty. The show treats Chicago's working-class neighborhoods with warmth and specificity, making it an intense but deeply human watch.
