## Synopsis

Wolf Like Me (2022-2023) is an Australian and American streaming comedy-drama created by Abe Forsythe, produced for Stan and Peacock. Isla Fisher plays Mary, a woman carrying a secret she cannot bring herself to share, while Josh Gad plays Gary, an emotional wreck struggling to provide for his daughter after the death of his wife. Their lives collide in a way the overview frames as the universe bringing them together for a reason. The engine of the series is the tension between the vulnerability of two damaged people and the hidden truth that Mary must protect, with each episode weaving domestic struggle, grief and tentative intimacy around that concealment. Supporting principals Emma Lung as Sarah, Ariel Donoghue as Emma and Anthony Taufa as Ray round out the household and its daily pressures. The show runs for two seasons and thirteen half-hour episodes, moving as a serialized story rather than a case of the week. Its tone blends wry, offbeat humour with melancholic grief and a romantic pull, giving it a bittersweet, cozy-yet-raw register. Fans of Being Human, Dead to Me and Lost Girl will find resonance in its mix of supernatural romance, emotional fragility and dark comedy. The setting is contemporary and grounded, with everyday suburban life providing the backdrop for the supernatural premise.
