## Synopsis

Single Drunk Female (2022-2023) is a American half-hour comedy-drama created by Simone Finch for Freeform. Samantha Fink, a 20-something alcoholic whose public flame-out at a New York media company leaves her facing jail time, moves back to Greater Boston to live with her overbearing mother Carol (Ally Sheedy). Sofia Black-D'Elia plays Samantha as she tries to sober up while working at the local grocery store, surrounded by every trigger that once fueled her drinking. Supporting turns from Sasha Compère as Brit Monclair, Lily Mae Harrington as Felicia O'Brien, and Garrick Bernard as James Chambers flesh out her circle of friends and rivals. Across two seasons of ten episodes each, each 21-minute installment follows small daily struggles, awkward encounters and relapse-adjacent temptations in a stream of sharp, self-aware jokes. The tone blends breezy irreverence with raw vulnerability, and the mother daughter friction gives the show a prickly warmth. Fans of Fleabag, Girls and Shrill will find resonance in its frank, funny look at a young woman rebuilding her life one shift at a time.
