## Synopsis

Dogs in Space (2021-2022) is an American animated science fiction comedy created by Jeremiah Cortez for Netflix. Genetically enhanced canines Garbage (Haley Joel Osment), Stella (Sarah Chalke), and Nomi (Kimiko Glenn) are dispatched across the galaxy to locate a new planet that could save a dwindling human race. Their mission is framed as a giant cosmic game of fetch, so every episode becomes a hopping, sometimes chaotic voyage from one strange world to the next, with the dogs bickering, improvising, and chasing goals that keep pulling them toward the beloved owners they hope to return to. Chris Parnell voices Ed, adding to the ensemble's offbeat chemistry. The show runs for two seasons of ten episodes each, a canceled limited arc of twenty short twenty-two minute installments that are largely self-contained adventures rather than one long serialized plot. Set in a not-so-distant future Earth, the series trades on an earnest, goofy register where peril is cushioned by slapstick and canine sincerity. Its tone is breezy and warm, suited to younger viewers while still rewarding adults who enjoy animated science fiction in the vein of Futurama and Milo Murphy's Law. Audiences rated both seasons highly, and the series stands as a gentle, playful space adventure about loyalty and home.
