## Synopsis

I'm Quitting Heroing (2022) is a Japanese anime fantasy comedy series based on a light novel. After Leo Demonheart defeats the Demon King and saves humanity, the people he protected treat him with suspicion and hostility rather than honor. Exiled and unwanted, Leo seeks a place in the army of his former nemesis, only to find that the forces have fallen apart since their defeat. Across a single season, the engine of the show is his effort to whip the demoralized soldiers back into fighting shape while his new companions bring their own quirks to the ranks. The episodes are built around training, bureaucratic frustration, and the absurd gap between Leo's ambitions and his circumstances. The tone is breezy and irreverent, with a warm undercurrent of found camaraderie and a mocking eye toward heroic clichés. Fans of The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Konosuba and Overlord will find similar pleasures in its fantasy world, comedic energy, and reversed heroic premise.
