## Synopsis

Black Wedding (2021-present) is a Serbian supernatural mystery series created by Nemanja Ćipranić and Strahinja Madžarević for Superstar TV. Petar Ćirić (Uliks Fehmiu), an operative of Serbia's BIA security agency, is drawn into a village massacre after the killer, who shot himself in the head, survives. The killer's dying word, katabaza, is the same word Petar's late son spoke before taking his own life, and that link pulls Petar into a case he cannot leave alone. Psychologist Nataša Janković (Jelena Đokić) joins him as the rationalist who refuses to accept anything mysterious in the events, and their clashing explanations give each episode its push and pull. Nikola Kojo co-stars as Bane Tomić in the wider investigation. The series unfolds as a serialized mystery across two seasons of ten episodes each, with each investigative step pulling the story deeper into unexplained territory. Its tone is brooding, cold and dread-filled, with a restrained, atmospheric pace in the Balkan winter air. Fans of Twin Peaks and The Killing will find resonance in its blend of grief, procedural investigation and uncanny unease.
