## Synopsis

Adult Trainee (2021) is a South Korean coming-of-age comedy-drama miniseries broadcast on TVING, running seven episodes of about 38 minutes each. Its three intertwined storylines follow high school students at the end of their teenage years, centering on Seo Jae-min (Ryu Ui-hyun), Ye Kyung (MIYEON) and Yoo Ra (Cho Yu-jung) as they handle friendship, first romance and the pressures of growing up. The engine is everyday school life: a pretend relationship that begins as a favor and slowly tests the feelings of those involved, alongside classmates Jin Beom (Jo Sung-Joon) and Nam Ho (Ryeoun) facing their own small crises. Each episode moves at a brisk, light pace, shifting between viewpoints so that the same school days look different from each side. The tone is wistful and warm, with bittersweet undertones about leaving childhood behind and the uncertainty of what comes next. Fans of Reply 1988, Sex Education and Heartstopper will find resonance in its youthful romance and friendship at the heart of a Korean school drama.
