## Synopsis

School of Chocolate (2021) is an American reality competition series for Netflix, a single-season limited series of eight 40-minute episodes. Eight professionals step into a classroom to learn the craft of chocolate under the guidance of celebrated chocolatier Amaury Guichon, who appears as himself. Each contestant arrives with real technical experience but must prove they can handle the demands of fine confectionery, from tempering and moulding to shaping original creations under close scrutiny. The engine of the show is elimination: every challenge narrows the field, and only one student will be named the best in class and win a unique opportunity. Episodes unfold as hands-on workshops, instructional tasks and judged results, so the viewer watches technique develop week by week. The tone is warm, focused and encouraging, with a gentle sense of pressure and pride rather than cruelty. Fans of The Great British Baking Show, Top Chef and Chef's Table will find resonance here in its blend of craft education, friendly competition and close attention to the artistry of food. It suits anyone drawn to cooking shows, sweet treats or low-stakes competitive viewing.
