## Synopsis

Animal (2021-2022) is a British nature documentary docuseries produced by Plimsoll Productions for Netflix. Across two seasons of four episodes each, each roughly 46 minutes long, the series follows a wide range of the world's most magnificent creatures, filming behaviour rarely captured on camera. Rather than a single protagonist, the show is built around the animals themselves, with each episode moving from tender, heartwarming family moments to outrageous, unexpected antics. The footage is immersive and intimate, placing viewers close to animals in their natural habitats across many parts of the planet. A rotating roster of famous voices, including Rashida Jones, Bryan Cranston, Pedro Pascal, Andy Serkis, Uzo Aduba and David Harbour, narrates the episodes, adding warmth and playful commentary to the spectacle. The overall atmosphere is wondrous, light and affectionate, suited to families and casual viewers. Fans of Planet Earth II, Our Planet and Life on Earth will find the same awe, polished natural history craft and gentle wonder in this eight-episode series.
