## Synopsis

Where Is Marta? (2021) is a Spanish true crime docuseries created by Paula Cons for Netflix. Rather than following a single protagonist, the three-episode limited series returns to the disappearance of teenager Marta del Castillo, a case that dominated headlines across Spain and remains unresolved. Its engine is the testimony itself: family members, friends, police officers and other figures connected to the case speak directly to the camera, each recounting what they saw, suspected and were never able to prove. Each episode, roughly an hour long, lays out the timeline piece by piece, letting contradictions and gaps sit in the open rather than resolving them with narration. The result is a somber, patient and emotionally raw viewing experience, shaped by grief, public fascination and the frustration of an investigation that never reached a conclusion. Fans of The Staircase, Making a Murderer and The Jinx will find the same mix of real-life stakes, interview-driven storytelling and unanswered questions that lingers long after the final episode.
