## Synopsis

Eve (2022) is a South Korean tvN drama created for tvN, a single-season limited series of sixteen hour-long episodes that blends glossy melodrama, thriller tension and sardonic comedy. Seo Yea-ji plays Lee Ra-el, an ordinary woman who is charming, well read and sharp enough to mastered art, psychology and economics, and whose quiet moves trigger a two trillion-won divorce scandal inside the country's top one percent. Park Byung-eun plays Kang Youn-kyum, a member of the wealthy couple at the center of the scandal, while Yu Seon, Lee Sang-yeob and Lee Il-hwa fill out the orbit of rival families, lovers and confidants. The engine of the show is a cat-and-mouse game: Ra-el wants the truth to surface on her own terms, and each episode tightens the net around the elite couple as lies pile up and alliances shift. The storytelling leans on dramatized, drawn-out scenarios and lush, polished production design, so the mood is breezy and stylish, with pockets of tension and dark humor. Fans of Crash Landing on You, The Penthouse and Lupin will find resonance in its class-conscious scheming, glamorous surfaces and clever heroine at the center of the chaos.
