## Synopsis

Call of the Night (2022-2025) is a Japanese anime series produced by LIDENFILMS and based on the manga by Kotoyama, broadcast across a large network of regional Japanese television stations. Ko Yamori (Gen Sato) is a lonely boy whose nights change when he meets Nazuna Nanakusa (Sora Amamiya), a mysterious girl who offers him a vampire's immortality and dark gifts in exchange for conditions he must meet before he can take that step. Akira Asai (Yumiri Hanamori) and Kai (Koki Koyasu) orbit the pair as friends and rivals, and the wider cast drifts through the city's late-night streets. The engine of the series is Ko's awkward push and pull between his desire and his doubts, played out through conversations on rooftops, convenience store stops, and wandering walks through quiet urban neighborhoods. Two seasons across twenty-five episodes unfold as a serialized slice of life with a romantic and supernatural undercurrent. Its tone is earnest, gentle and playfully awkward, with moments of melancholy and a joyful warmth, and its nocturnal atmosphere evokes a shared secret world. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Blood Lad and Your Lie in April will find resonance in its blend of comedy, longing and coming of age.
