## Synopsis

Love Is Blind: Japan (2022) is a Japanese national-television reality dating series created for Netflix, produced by TV Man Union and hosted by Takashi Fujii and Yuka Itaya. Across a single eleven-episode season, marriage-minded singles meet in a structured setting where conversation through a wall replaces first sight, and the engine of each episode is the slow build from first talk to proposal and engagement before any face-to-face meeting. The format is built around concrete milestones: dates through partitions, the question of whether a connection can survive the reveal, and the pressure of family and timelines that shape how quickly couples move. Its shape is a single continuous season rather than a case-of-the-week format, with each episode advancing couples through stages toward the altar. The tone is earnest, intimate and sincere, closer to a gentle romantic experiment than a competition, and it carries the atmosphere of contemporary Japanese courtship. Fans of Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle and Married at First Sight will find the same appetite for romance tested against unusual rules.
