## Synopsis

Ya Boy Kongming! (2022) is a Japanese anime comedy series created for TOKYO MX and produced by P.A.WORKS. A single-season, twelve-episode run adapts the manga and follows Zhuge Kongming (voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu), a Three Kingdoms-era military strategist who, after a life of battles, is reborn into a peaceful world and lands in modern Tokyo's party scene. His goal is simple: find a peaceful life, but the city's nightlife, music, and social codes keep upending his plans. The engine of each episode is the gap between his battlefield tactics and trivial modern problems, while Eiko Tsukimi (voiced by Kaede Hondo) and Nanami Kuon (voiced by Hibiku Yamamura) draw him into a world of clubs and DJs. Episodes are self-contained gags built around the characters' ambitions, giving the show a light, breezy, playful feel. Fans of Gintama and Bocchi the Rock! will find resonance in its blend of historical absurdity, music, and warm slice-of-life comedy. The tone stays cheerful and witty, with a sincere affection for its odd cast.
