## Synopsis

Fatal Attraction (2023) is a US prestige thriller reimagining the classic psychosexual story of an affair that turns dangerous. Lizzy Caplan plays Alex Forrest, the obsessive woman whose fling with Dan Gallagher (Joshua Jackson) threatens his marriage to Beth (Amanda Peet) and the lives of everyone around them. Across a single eight-episode season, the series builds dread through domestic close quarters, escalating manipulation and shifting loyalties, with a detective drawn into the unraveling. Each episode tightens the grip on a family that believed its life was secure, and the atmosphere stays claustrophobic and emotionally raw from first episode to last. Its tone is tense and unsettling rather than lurid, and it probes its central woman's motives through modern conversations about strong women, personality disorders and coercive control. Set in contemporary America, the show suits viewers who enjoy slow-burning psychological tension, morally compromised characters and marital drama, and it will resonate with fans of the 1987 film, Gone Girl and Big Little Lies.
