## Synopsis

Café Minamdang (2022) is a South Korean mystery comedy series created by Ko Jae-hyun for KBS2. Its central pull is a suspicious business that sells the services of a purportedly all-knowing shaman, and a tenacious police inspector who refuses to let it slide. Seo In-guk plays Nam Han-jun, with Oh Yeon-seo as Han Jae-hui and Kwak Si-yang as Gong Soo-chul among the principal cast alongside Kang Mi-na and Kwon Soo-hyun. Each episode works through the shaman operation's schemes, with the investigators gradually pulling apart the fraud's mechanics while the characters' own motives come into play. The show runs for a single season of eighteen hour-long episodes, a self-contained limited run with a serialized spine. Its tone blends dry humor and sharp procedural tension with warmer character moments, giving the mystery an accessible, breezy edge. Fans of Hwayi: A Monster Boy, Tomorrow and Lie to Me will find the same mix of offbeat detective work and con-artist cat-and-mouse. Set in contemporary Seoul, the series leans on the rhythms of Korean investigation and everyday city life. It rewards viewers who enjoy a clever puzzle wrapped in a character-driven comedy.
