## Synopsis

Tschugger (2021-2024) is a Swiss German dark comedy crime series created by David Constantin and Mats Frey for SRF 1 and Sky Show. Its detective partners are policemen Bax (David Constantin) and Pirmin (Dragan Vujic), who normally handle runaway sheep and village festival duty in the Valais canton. When an inconceivable murder attempt jolts their routine, the pair follows the case deeper into local criminal networks and a darker tangle of mafia forces. Smetterling (Cedric Schild), Annette (Anna Rossinelli), and Valmira (Annalena Miano) orbit the investigation, and the pairing's bumbling competence gives each episode its shape. The series runs four seasons of five half-hour episodes each, shifting from a single crime thread toward a broader conspiracy. Set in the Swiss Alps, it plays its absurd, gently deadpan tone against Alpine provincial life and an underworld that feels uncomfortably close to home. Fans of Fargo and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will find resonance in its mix of regional eccentricity, police partnership comedy, and genuine menace.
