## Synopsis

You Don't Know Me (2021) is a British four-episode limited series created for BBC One, a legal crime drama built around a single courtroom case. Samuel Adewunmi plays Hero, a young Londoner accused of murder who swears he is innocent and must face a sharp prosecution barrister (Badria Timimi) while his close circle of friends is pulled into the case. Sophie Wilde plays Kyra and Bukky Bakray plays Bless, two of the friends whose loyalty and doubts are tested as the trial unfolds. The engine of the show is simple and gripping: each episode tightens the grip of the evidence and the testimony, and the viewer is left asking whether Hero can be believed. Its tone is tense, intimate and emotionally raw, with a contemporary urban texture and a focus on the pressure a single accusation puts on family and friends. Fans of Broadchurch, Silk and The Night Of will find resonance in its trial-driven suspense and moral unease. The compact run gives it the feel of a single sustained case rather than a sprawling saga.
