## Synopsis

The Boys Presents: Diabolical (2022) is an American adult animated anthology series created for Prime Video, produced with Sony Pictures Television and Point Grey Pictures. Spun off from the satirical superhero franchise The Boys, it is a single-season miniseries of eight brief episodes, each running roughly fourteen minutes. Each short is a self-contained story that plunges into an unseen corner of the franchise's grim superhero world, following new and minor characters rather than the principal team. Voice cast includes Christian Slater as the Narrator, Justin Roiland, Caleb McLaughlin, Kevin Smith and Frances Conroy, whose performances give the shorts a sardonic, cheeky energy. The engine of each episode is a bold premise pushed to extremes, with stories built around corrupt heroes, cruel power plays and bloody set pieces. The tone is irreverent, shocking and darkly comic, with bursts of gleeful gore and sharp social satire. Each installment works as a standalone entry, so fans of Invincible, Love, Death and Robots and Aqua Teen Hunger Force will find a similar mix of adult animation, absurd violence and deadpan cynicism.
