## Synopsis

Tulsa King is an American crime dramedy created by Taylor Sheridan for Paramount+. Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight "The General" Manfredi, a New York mafia capo released from prison after 25 years and exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Martin Starr plays Lawrence "Bodhi" Geigerman, one of the principal figures around him, and Jay Will plays Tyson Mitchell, while Frank Grillo and Annabella Sciorra add weight to the supporting cast. The engine of the series is Dwight's slow, deliberate effort to build a crew from nothing while suspicion grows that his own mob family may not have his interests at heart. Each season continues an unbroken, serialized arc of territorial bargaining, protection rackets and violent confrontations across the regional underworld. The show is set in present-day Tulsa, where a big-city mobster must learn the local rules of the American Midwest. Its tone is wry and knowing, mixing hard crime with a dark comedic sensibility that plays the mafia clichés for laughs while keeping its stakes real. Fans of Sopranos-style mob politics and the Sheridan-produced neo-western crime world of Justified and Better Call Saul will find resonance here. The series is still running, with its story continuing to unfold season after season.
