## Synopsis

Greek (2007-2011) is a American teen-leaning college comedy-drama created by Patrick Sean Smith for ABC Family. Casey Cartwright (Spencer Grammer) is poised to become the most powerful girl in her sorority at fictional Cyprus-Rhodes University in Ohio, and her ambitions drive much of the story. Her little brother Rusty (Jacob Zachar), a geek new on campus, uses the school as a chance to build an entirely new identity. Around them orbit Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman), Cappie (Scott Michael Foster), and Rebecca Logan (Dilshad Vadsaria), whose romantic entanglements and friendship rivalries fuel each episode. The show runs for four seasons and seventy-four episodes, moving through social parties, pledge politics, and fraternity and sorority competition in a standard campus setting. Its tone is breezy and warm, with light comedy undercut by the sting of status anxiety and the uncertainty of growing up. Fans of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and Undeclared will find a similar mix of young adult ensemble drama and campus social comedy, with a lively and easy watch.
