## Synopsis

Shark Tank India (2021-present) is an Indian reality competition series created for Sony Entertainment Television and streamed on SonyLIV, adapted from the global Shark Tank format. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha and Rahul Dua, the show follows aspiring entrepreneurs from across India who step onto a stage to pitch their business models to a panel of investors known as sharks, including Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal and Amit Jain. The engine of each episode is the pitch itself: a founder has a few minutes to make a product or service sound fundable, then faces rapid-fire questions about margins, customers and valuation, while the sharks haggle over equity and stake. Each season strings together dozens of these standalone pitches, with recurring sharks dynamics and a steady cadence of successes and rejections. Across five seasons the format has grown into a long-running, self-contained reality franchise rather than a single narrative. The mood is brisk, candid and aspirational, with moments of tension at the negotiating table and genuine warmth when a small business earns a deal. Fans of Shark Tank, Dragons' Den and The Apprentice will find the same appetite for entrepreneurial ambition and high-stakes bargaining.
