## Synopsis

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein (2022-2024) is an Indian Hindi-language crime series created by Siddharth Sengupta for Netflix. Vikrant Singh Chauhan, played by Tahir Raj Bhasin, is a man whose ordinary life is hijacked when a powerful politician's daughter, Shikha, played by Shweta Tripathi Sharma, becomes fixated on making him hers. Her determination forces him onto a risky path of illicit dealings as he tries to reclaim his own life. Shikha's family, including Purva Awasthi (Anchal Singh) and Akheraj Awasthi (Saurabh Shukla), complicates every move, while Suryakant Chauhan (Brijendra Kala) anchors the protagonist's world. The engine of the series is a cat-and-mouse dance of obsession, bluffing and escalating favors, with each episode turning a small humiliation into a larger criminal entanglement. Across two seasons and fourteen forty-minute episodes, the show moves between tense crime beats and sharp, darkly comic set pieces. Its tone is morally grey and bitingly ironic, with a contemporary Indian political backdrop of power, money and loyalty. Fans of Sacred Games, Breaking Bad and Rangbaaz will find resonance in its blend of crime, mystery and dark humour. Set in present-day India, it is built for adult viewers who enjoy gritty, character-driven thrillers.
