## Synopsis

Cecilia (2021-present) is a Mexican family drama series created by Daniel Burman for Paramount+. Mariana Treviño plays Cecilia, a woman whose world seems to crumble after a stroke, and the series follows her as the setback becomes a chance to bring her scattered family back together. Conchi León appears as Alma Rosa, Mayra Batalla as Sofía, and Samantha Castillo as Sara, with their relationships to Cecilia driving much of the emotional weight. Each of the eight half-hour episodes moves through household tensions, rehabilitation setbacks, and small reconciliations, building toward a more honest sense of what the family owes one another. The engine is simple and human: Cecilia wants her life back in shape while the people around her learn to take on new roles. The tone is warm and wistful, with comedy that eases the heavier moments of illness and grief. A single season of eight episodes, it works as a compact, intimate study of recovery in the vein of This Is Us and Parenthood, with the domestic focus and emotional generosity fans of those family dramas will find familiar. It suits viewers who want hope without melodrama.
