## Synopsis

Street Sharks is a United States animated action adventure series created by Martha Moran and Phil Harnage for syndication, airing from 1994 to 1997 across three seasons and forty episodes. Four young brothers, gene-slammed into shark-human hybrids by the evil genius Dr. Piranoid (John Michael Lee), fight to defend the streets and keep their honor. Ripster (Lee Tockar), Jab (Matt Hill), Streex (Andrew Rannells) and Big Slammu (D. Kevin Williams) form the core team, with Bends (Jim Hoggatt) among the other principal voices, and Lena Mack (Pam Carter) appears as a recurring human ally. The engine of each episode is simple and kinetic: the Sharks confront Piranoid's schemes and the mutant creatures he unleashes, fighting in a gritty city full of ecological damage and crime. The tone is brash, earnest and fast-paced, with loud street swagger and cartoon bravado throughout. Fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Biker Mice from Mars will find the same kid-friendly mutant-team energy, a classic Saturday morning cartoon built for young viewers.
