## Synopsis

Urusei Yatsura (2022-2024) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by David Production and broadcast on Fuji TV, a single-season run of 46 episodes adapted from the classic manga. Lum (voiced by Sumire Uesaka), the electric-shock-wielding princess of the alien Oni, has decided that high school student Ataru Moroboshi (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya) is her destined husband, but Ataru is a dedicated womanizer who keeps hunting every pretty girl he can find. Their romantic tug of war anchors the show, while girl-next-door Shinobu (Maaya Uchida), shrine maiden Sakura (Miyuki Sawashiro) and the wealthy heir Shutaro Mendo (Mamoru Miyano) add rival suitors and chaos to each episode. Each installment is built from self-contained slapstick mishaps set in the ordinary suburban town of Tomobiki, where aliens, monks and students collide in everyday life. The tone is breezy, cheerful and anything-goes, with a deliberately old-fashioned gag rhythm. Fans of Ranma 1/2 and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find a similar mix of romantic rivalry and farcical escalation, delivered as a light, easy watch.
