## Synopsis

When the Stars Gossip (2025) is a South Korean tvN romantic science fiction drama created by Park Shin-woo, Kim Jin-sung and Seo Sook-hyang and produced by Studio Dragon. Lee Min-ho plays Dr. Gong Ryong, an astronaut on a demanding mission, and Gong Hyo-jin plays Eve Kim, a space tourist whose separate purpose aboard the station pulls her into his orbit. Supporting roles from Oh Jung-se, Han Ji-eun and EL add complications on the ground and in orbit. The engine of the story is two people from very different worlds who are forced into close quarters while pursuing their own missions, and the emotional tension grows as their attraction deepens in ways that carry real moral weight. The series unfolds as a single continuous sixteen-episode arc of roughly seventy minutes each, with its stakes set against the routines of station life and the glimmering isolation of outer space. Its atmosphere is romantic and wistful, with a glossy, polished production sensibility typical of Korean prestige television. Set in the contemporary present of the broadcast, the story balances sweeping cosmic imagery with intimate, personal drama. Fans of Crash Landing on You and Itaewon Class will find resonance in its blend of longing, sacrifice and a love story pulled between two worlds.
