## Synopsis

Clase 406 (2002-2003) is a Mexican television teen soap opera created by Pedro Damián for Univision and Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. The series follows a group of working class Hispanic teenagers in Mexico City, with Francisco Gattorno playing Santiago Cadavid and Luis Felipe Villasana, Michelle Vieth as Nadia Castillo Bojórquez, Jorge Poza as Francisco Romero, and Alfonso Herrera as Juan David Rodríguez Pineda among its principal figures. Its engine is the tangle of romantic longing, class resentment and everyday survival that pulls these young people in different directions, as each episode moves through clashing love affairs, family pressure and money worries. Across four seasons and roughly 350 episodes, the story stays rooted in one continuing storyline where earlier choices shape later confrontations. The show belongs to the telenovela tradition and treats its heavy subjects, including sex, drug dealing, teen pregnancy, abuse and heartbreak, with a melodramatic yet grounded register. Its tone is earnest, emotionally intense and often raw, set in a lower-middle-class urban neighborhood. Fans of Degrassi: The Next Generation, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Dawson's Creek will find resonance in its blend of teen romance and social hardship.
