## Synopsis

jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy is an American documentary miniseries released by Netflix in 2022 and built from roughly two decades of footage. Its three roughly ninety-minute episodes trace the rise of rapper Kanye West, known as Ye, through archival material, studio sessions, and interviews with figures from hip-hop such as Mase, KRS-One, Snoop Dogg, and DJ Darryl McDaniels. Coodie Simmons, who narrates, is the filmmaker documenting him, and the series turns on the intertwined relationship between the emerging superstar and the camera that followed him. Early Chicago roots give way to Los Angeles ambition, and the story moves through a long arc of creative pressure, personal turbulence, and the mythology an artist builds around himself. The tone is intimate, raw and intense, with an unvarnished look at fame and mental health. Rather than a case-of-the-week structure, it reads as a sustained chronicle of a musician under the glare of the public eye, appealing to viewers drawn to music history, behind-the-scenes access, and candid celebrity portraits.
