## Synopsis

Reset (2022) is a Chinese scripted science fiction mystery series created for Tencent Video, a single-season run of fifteen roughly forty-five-minute episodes. College student Li Shiqing (Zhao Jinmai) and video game designer Xiao Heyun (Bai Jingting) find themselves caught in a time loop that keeps resetting after an explosion on a bus. Each reset gives them a fresh chance to gather clues, test theories, and work together with fellow passengers such as Zhang Cheng (Liu Yijun) and Du Jinsong (Liu Tao) to uncover who or what caused the blast. The engine of the show is the race against a closing window: every loop reveals a new fragment of the puzzle, and every failed attempt costs the characters something they cannot get back. Episodes are built around tightly plotted investigations that reward close attention, and the story unfolds as one continuing thread where order matters. Set in a present-day Chinese city, the series balances propulsive suspense with quieter moments of ordinary people choosing how to treat one another under pressure. Its tone is tense and intimate, with a hint of romance between the leads. Fans of Groundhog Day, Russian Doll, and Dark will find resonance in its loop mechanics, its puzzle-box plotting, and its atmosphere of mounting dread.
