## Synopsis

Daniela's Diary (1998-1999) is a Mexican telenovela produced by Televisa and broadcast on Las Estrellas, created by Palmira Olguín. Daniela Luján stars as Daniela Monroy Alarcón, a young woman whose heart and family loyalties pull her in conflicting directions, while Martín Ricca plays Martín Linares Moreno, the man at the center of her romantic hopes. Yolanda Ventura appears as Natalia Navarro, and Leticia Calderón plays Leonor Alarcón de Monroy, whose presence keeps the family rivalries simmering. Across a single run of one hundred episodes, the engine of the story is simple and emotional: a young woman wants to love freely, but inherited feuds, misunderstandings and social expectations keep getting in the way. Each episode turns on confessions, overheard conversations, and sudden reversals in relationships that carry the dramatic momentum forward. Set in contemporary late 1990s Mexico, the series delivers a sentimental, melodramatic register of longing, jealousy and hope. Its tone is warm and heightened, rooted in the classic Latin American soap tradition. Fans of Betty la fea, Marimar and Rebelde will find familiar pleasures in its romance and family drama.
