## Synopsis

The Law Cafe (2022) is a South Korean romantic comedy series created for KBS2, adapted from a novel and produced under the k-drama tradition. Lee Seung-gi plays Kim Jung-ho, a former prosecutor who has become a landlord, and Lee Se-young plays Kim Yu-ri, a former Miss Korea who now works as a lawyer. Their relationship is the engine of the show: two sharp, stubborn people forced into the same orbit around a law office cafe, where personal rivalry keeps tripping into romance and each case becomes another excuse for sparring. Supporting roles from Kim Nam-hee, Ahn Dong-gu and Kim Do-hoon fill out the office world, bringing comic friction and small workplace dramas to each episode. The sixteen-episode run is a single, self-contained story that moves through a romantic arc with legal side plots layered over it. Its tone is breezy and bright, blending banter, comic misunderstandings and warm sincerity, though the show's execution has been criticized for uneven mixing of its romance, comedy and law elements. Fans of Suits, Lawless Lawyer and Twenty-Five Twenty-One will find a similar appeal in its legal backdrop and romantic spark.
