## Synopsis

The Fame Game (2022) is a Hindi-language Indian crime drama and mystery series created by Sri Rao for Netflix. Madhuri Dixit leads as Anamika Anand, India's most famous actress, whose sudden disappearance sets the story in motion. Her husband and family, played by Sanjay Kapoor and Manav Kaul, present a polished front that begins to crack as an investigation gathers pressure and the household's carefully maintained image breaks apart. Supporting performances from Suhasini Mulay and Lakshvir Saran add to the web of loyalties and suspicions. The engine of the eight-episode, single-season limited series is the gap between public adoration and private reality: every interview, social media post and family dinner becomes a clue about what is being hidden. Set in contemporary Mumbai's glittering film and high-society world, it moves between the glamour of premieres and the tense, claustrophobic interiors of a home under scrutiny. The tone is glossy yet unsettling, with a steady, mounting dread. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Undoing and Gone Girl will find resonance in its portrait of domestic secrets behind a flawless public image.
