## Synopsis

Worst Roommate Ever (2022-2024) is a American true crime docuseries created for Netflix. Each standalone episode takes one real-life cohabitation nightmare and follows an unsuspecting victim whose ordinary search for a place to live turned into a dangerous ordeal with a roommate harboring malevolent and sometimes violent intentions. Across nine episodes spread over two seasons of roughly fifty minutes each, the series builds its cases from survivor interviews, investigators and archival material, tracing how small warning signs grew into threats, attempted murder and homicide investigations. The engine of each episode is the slow realization that the person sharing the walls is not safe, and the question of whether the victim can escape before it is too late. Its tone is unsettling and sober, with dread built from ordinary domestic details like shared kitchens, locked doors and unanswered messages. Its two seasons form an anthology rather than a continuing story, so viewers can dip into any case. Fans of Making a Murderer, The Staircase and The Jinx will find resonance in its patient, interview-driven approach to real violent crime.
