## Synopsis

Guns & Gulaabs (2023) is an Indian Hindi-language crime comedy miniseries created by Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru for Netflix. Dulquer Salmaan plays Arjun Varma, a big-city cop, alongside Rajkummar Rao as Paana Tipu and Adarsh Gourav as Jugnu 'Chota' Ganchi, while Gulshan Devaiah plays the memorable 4 Cut Atmaram and Satish Kaushik appears as Ganchi. The engine of the show is an unprecedented opium deal that drags these outsiders into Gulaabgunj, a cartel-run town where everyone is scheming against everyone else. Each of the seven roughly 48-minute episodes piles up double crosses, bungled plans and gunfire as the characters chase their own angles through the chaos. The story unfolds as one continuous arc across a single season, so the escalating misadventures build on each other. Set in a small north Indian town with a 1980s-movie flavour, the series mixes wackiness and seriousness in equal measure. Its tone is breezy, irreverent and gleefully violent, with sharp dialogue and eccentric characters. Fans of Go Goa Gone, Fargo and Snatch will find the same kinship of crime, comedy and colourful criminals in this bold, self-contained ride.
