## Synopsis

Daniel Spellbound (2022-2023) is a Canadian animated fantasy adventure series created by Matthew Fernandes for Netflix. Teenage tracker Daniel Spellbound (voiced by Alex Barima) earns his living hunting down rare mystical objects and selling them to sorcerers across New York City, but every deal risks pulling him into dangerous magical trouble. Alongside his longtime partner Hoagie (voiced by Deven Mack) and the sharp-witted Lucy Santana (voiced by Chantel Riley), he navigates a hidden magical underworld hidden beneath the bustle of the modern city. The engine of the show is the tension between a quick profit and the peril of trafficking in enchanted goods, and each episode builds around a new artifact, a new client and a new threat. Told across two seasons of ten episodes each, the series is a light, fast-moving family-friendly adventure rendered in 3D animation, with a playful, upbeat register and an emphasis on loyal friendship. Fans of Trollhunters and The Dragon Prince will find a similar blend of youthful bravado, city-streets magic and action-driven fun.
