## Synopsis

Goosebumps (2023) is an American limited series created by Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller for Hulu and Disney+. Adapted from R.L. Stine's children's horror novels, this ten-episode supernatural mystery follows five high schoolers, including Isaiah Howard (Zack Morris), Margot Stokes (Isa Briones) and James Etten (Miles McKenna), as they investigate the decades-old death of a teenager named Harold Biddle. Their search takes them deeper than they expect, uncovering dark secrets their own parents once kept hidden. Rachael Harris and Justin Long play adults whose pasts are tangled up in the mystery, giving the adult storyline real weight alongside the teen investigation. Each episode is built around eerie locations, masks, a vengeful ghost and creepy uncanny objects, so the suspense comes from escalating dread rather than gore. The show is set in the 1990s and balances playful scares with a nostalgic affection for youthful horror. Fans of Stranger Things, It and The Haunting of Hill House will find a similar blend of teen detective energy and supernatural unease. The tone is eerie but accessible, a spooky weekend watch for those who enjoy atmospheric teen horror with a streak of humor.
