## Synopsis

Clark (2022) is a Swedish crime miniseries created by Jonas Åkerlund for Netflix. Bill Skarsgård plays Clark Olofsson, Sweden's most notorious gangster, with Kolbjörn Skarsgård and Lukas Wetterberg playing his younger selves and Vilhelm Blomgren as Tommy Lindström, a fellow criminal caught in his orbit. Sandra Ilar and Peter Viitanen appear as Clark's family, grounding the restless life of a charismatic man who keeps slipping out of every institution meant to hold him. The engine of the six-episode run is the cycle of robberies, jailbreaks and hostage standoffs that made him a national figure, told through a non linear timeline that moves between his youth and his later notoriety. Each episode carries the grimy texture of a crime saga, with sardonic humor cutting through violence, drugs and cold institutional pressure. The result is a dark, stylish portrait of a criminal whose antics gave the country a new term for captives who bond with their captors. Fans of Narcos, Animal Kingdom and Catch Me If You Can will find resonance in its blend of true-story crime, charismatic antihero charm and bleak comedy. Set in 1960s Sweden, the miniseries plays as a taut, self-contained biography of one restless outlaw.
