## Synopsis

Marimar (1994) is a Mexican national-television telenovela created by Inés Rodena for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Thalia plays the title character, a young woman known as Bella who lives with her poor grandparents in a humble hut in front of the ocean, while Eduardo Capetillo plays Sergio Santibáñez, a man from a wealthy family whose household resists their love. Chantal Andere plays Angélica Narváez de Santibáñez, a scheming presence in the grand household, and Alfonso Iturralde plays Renato Santibáñez.
