## Synopsis

That Dirty Black Bag (2022) is a US western drama series created by Mauro Aragoni for AMC+. Dominic Cooper plays Arthur McCoy, an incorruptible sheriff with a troubled past, while Douglas Booth plays Red Bill, an infamous solitary bounty hunter who decapitates his victims and stuffs their heads into a dirty black bag. Their clash unfolds over eight days across a dry gold mining town where water is scarce and tensions run high. Supporting principals include Niv Sultan as Eve Margaret Hoover, Guido Caprino as Bronson, Christian Cooke as Steve, and Paterson Joseph as Thompson, whose loyalties and grudges tighten the pressure around the lawman's hunt. Each episode pushes the manhunt forward through confrontations, gallows justice, and the shifting alliances of a frontier community on the edge of collapse. The series is a single eight-episode season of fifty-minute chapters, a compact limited run with the feel of a spaghetti western. Its tone is grim, sweaty and brutal, with an atmosphere of dust, rope and moral decay. Themes of guilt, retribution and the thin line between law and killing run through every showdown. Fans of Deadwood, Django Unchained and Hell on Wheels will find the same revisionist grit and violent frontier reckoning here.
