## Synopsis

Alien: Earth (2025) is an American science fiction horror series created by Noah Hawley for FX and Hulu, a one-season run of eight episodes. When the research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, Wendy (Sydney Chandler) leads a group of tactical soldiers who discover a creature that threatens the whole planet. Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, and Babou Ceesay fill out the principal cast. The engine of the show is containment: the crew must track the alien parasites while human and robot hybrid characters pull against each other over what they know and what they are willing to risk. Each episode pushes a new discovery forward, and the stakes build toward a larger reckoning. Set in a near future of corporate research and military hardware, the series takes an austere, dread-filled tone, with the xenomorph-era tension of the original films reworked through new creature designs. Fans of Alien, Battlestar Galactica, and Westworld will find resonance in its atmospheric dread and questions about what makes a human. The show is grounded in a gritty, mature register rather than comedy, and its horror comes from the slow realization of what is loose in the world.
