## Synopsis

Palm Royale (2024-2026) is an American comedy-drama period series created by Abe Sylvia for Apple TV. Kristen Wiig stars as Maxine Dellacorte, an ambitious woman in 1969 Palm Beach who will do almost anything to cross from the have-nots into the island's most exclusive social set. Ricky Martin plays Robert Diaz, and Laura Dern and Allison Janney add sharp rivalry as the wealthy women who guard the gates. The engine of the show is Maxine's constant scheming: each episode is built around parties, alliances, humiliations and reversals in which her reinvention is tested against the old money families who would rather see her fail. Across two seasons the story remains one continuing arc rather than a case of the week, carried by character-driven escalation. The setting is a glossy 1960s Florida resort town, with ocean-facing mansions, couture gowns and country club rituals. The tone is witty and biting, with a satirical edge that undercuts its gleaming surfaces while still giving the characters real vulnerability. Fans of The Great, Mad Men and The Gilded Age will find resonance in its mix of period opulence, social ambition and sharp comic cruelty.
