## Synopsis

Adventures in Time (Aventuras en el Tiempo, 2001) is a Mexican family drama series created by Sergio Schmucler for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa and built in the telenovela tradition. Violeta, a young woman raised by her uncle after her mother died and with no knowledge of her father, becomes the center of the story when she finds a time machine her grandfather built in her grandmother's house. Her boyfriend Ángel, who gives her a pet dog, and her friends join her as she travels to different eras. Principal cast includes Belinda as Violeta Flores and Christopher Von Uckermann as Ángel Del Huerto, with Maribel Guardia as Flor del Huerto and Carmen Montejo as Margarita Rosales de Flores anchoring the family households. Each episode is a self-contained journey in which the group witnesses important moments in Mexican history firsthand, and the forty five minute episodes build a single 105-episode run. The tone is warm, earnest and gently educational, with romance and family bonds carrying the emotional weight. Fans of Doctor Who, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Rebelde will find resonance in its mix of youthful adventure, family melodrama and time travel.
