## Synopsis

NCIS: Sydney (2023-present) is an Australian crime procedural series created by Morgan O'Neill for Paramount+, a spin-off in the NCIS franchise. Olivia Swann plays Michelle Mackey, leading a brilliant and eclectic team of US NCIS agents and Australian Federal Police officers grafted into a multinational taskforce. Todd Lasance stars as Jim 'JD' Dempsey, alongside Sean Sagar as DeShawn Jackson and Tuuli Narkle as Evie Cooper, with William McInnes as Dr. Roy Penrose. The engine of the show is the struggle of these investigators to keep naval crimes in check across one of the most contested patches of ocean on the planet, while juggling jurisdictional friction and personal rivalries. Episodes are largely case-of-the-week investigations, built around military suspects, maritime incidents, and the sun-drenched glamour of Sydney. The series runs three seasons so far and carries a brisk, action-tinged tone with a light, breezy ensemble warmth. Fans of NCIS, Hawaii Five-0 and Halifax: Retribution will find resonance in its procedural rhythm and team-driven crime stories set against a striking urban waterfront backdrop.
